Rev. Emma Loane, originally from Northern Ireland, felt called to ministry during a gap year serving the Methodist Church. After earning degrees in Scotland and the U.S., she was ordained in 2021 and has served in various pastoral roles, and is now working with St. John's as a Bridge Coach. Living in Louisville with her spouse Sloane, their pets, and a growing garden, Emma is passionate about LGBTQ+ inclusion, racial justice, and faith-informed intersectionality.
Pastor Cristal Encarnacion is originally from the Dominican Republic, but immigrated to America with her family at a young age. After graduating seminary with a Masters in Divinity and Marriage and Family Therapy, Cristal became a MID within the UCC and entered into a Call Agreement with St. John's to be their part-time Designated Interim Pastor. She is passionate about working with marginalized communities and within the intersection of faith and mental health.
Nicholas Reynolds has been a member of St. John UCC since 2013 when he moved to Louisville from Austin Texas. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Music degree in organ performance, he has served as St. John’s music director and organist ever since. Nicholas currently lives in the Germantown neighborhood of Louisville with his dog, Cassie, and bird, Edgar.
